Intercorp Holdings (Private) Limited is a diversified investment and holding company with operating firms in Zimbabwe and South Africa. Our core interests are in ICT-Information Communication Technology, Telecoms-Network Infrastructure, Media-Communications and Entertainment, Sustainable Energy Solutions and

Human Skills Development & Outsourcing.

We place a great deal of value on not only being a socially responsible corporate player, but an active agent of real sustainable economic and human livelihood development in Zimbabwe and Africa through our OAF – One Africa Foundation.

In 1999, a small IT firm called Dynevol founded by Owen Ruwodo (short for Dynamic Evolution ... evolve or die) began operating primarily selling computers, providing technical support services, developing and maintaining websites to clients in private and public sector. Through one of its divisions, Bar Code Systems - the company co-pioneered the use of bar codes in the supply chain industry of Zimbabwe as early as 2001.

In 2003, that same company transformed into Intersoft Solutions Africa (Peoplesoft Computer Systems t/a) with a mission to offer an integrated set of ICT products and services to the corporate sector especially banking and government. Satisfactory successes by the small team of young entrepreneurs in selling systems and providing solutions to the financial services, general corporates and public sectors bought about a need to fill a gap that had always been a challenge over the years.

The huge “capacity gap” in the quality supply and service of credible ICT products and solutions has always presented itself as a great opportunity for Intersoft Solutions Africa, and the realisation of this opportunity is the primary reason Intercorp Holdings (Private) Limited was born.

The birth of Intercorp in 2008 was premature having crossed paths with the most historical economic decline of any country in the world’s history, when Zimbabwe’s economy virtually stood still. The following four years of tribulation,

recovery and learning became formative years in the foundation of Intercorp Holdings.

Driven by our passion to “create sustainable value together”, we are part of the generation that will rebuild Zimbabwe and create a new benchmark for excellence in quality livelihoods, whilst contributing to a better future for all Africans and the world at large.
